Of the 189 recommendations made by the commission, there are but two being discussed in the media:

1. The Catholic Church should abolish clerical celibacy;
2. The Catholic Church should abolish the seal of the confessional.

Were the Royal Commissioners really serious? After five years and millions upon millions of dollars, all we get is a couple of obtuse recommendations made by a gang of six Catholic-haters?

Why am I not surprised?

So, what are the Aussie cultural undercurrents that generate so much hatred for the Catholic Church? I would not think that "Crocodile Dundee" would be that way. Ned Kelly, maybe?
